We have already been in Central Asia for more than one week. And from the begining of the trip maybe the most important points has been meeting again friends of my trip on 2001, some surprise, some absencent people and a lot of new friends. The first one to meet, was obviously Gairat who was waiting for me at the airport at 4:00 a.m without having sleep!!!! He was friendly as always, with lots of ideas of bussiness and how to improve his country.
Who I didn't met either at the airport or the next day was Faizhulla. Gairat, however, gave me news from him. He went to work in Kazastan in the construction but he sufered a hard accident falling from 10m. Howver, as Gairat said, God gave him a second chance, and after having stayed in bed for 6 months he could walk again and now it works again as a driver as in 2001.

Once in Samarcand, we met again that great and friendly family which who I stayed in my previous trip. They got a very warm welcome as they did in 2001.
Jurshed is not any longer a child and I can not make any joke telling him mush , that is ... mouse. The biggest surprise, however, is Niguina, who is married. She even introduced her husband. She told us that their families arranged the wedding, they met themselfs one month before the marriage. She, at the first moment didn't agree to marry however, she realized it was a good boy who works hard and doesn't drink, so she agreed to marry. When asking her about it, she says she is happy, and looking at her eyes I believe her. However, she recongnize they marry too young.
The only one in the family which we haven't meet is Boris, the father, he worked at night and we didn't meet him. It was a pity... He had been alpinist and we were heading to the Pamirs, so we would had had lot to talk about.

However, the most remarcable from the trip up to now it is the new friends we have met along the road.
A problem with my bicycle in Samarkand allowed us to get in contact with people from the cyclist club in town. Among them, we shared some beers with Anatoly, who apart from cyclist it is the director of the peace museum of Samarcand, and also is an Esparantitst (speaks Esperanto) and he had return a couple of weeks ago from the Basque Country.

In Tajikistan we have been doing new friends non stop. Just to comment some among them ..... A russian guy in Penjikent who helped us to find a good place where to eat, and showed us the way to the old city. The same day, arriving at a small town called Gusar in the evening, when asking for where to sleep, we were invited to stay at home of the director of a wine factory close by. That night we finished nearly drunk. :-). As the son of the director also work in the factory we agreed to search for him information about wine schools in Spain.

Two days later on the way to Anzob pass we stopped in a Choikhana to recover us eating a little bit. We met a guy from Dushambe to stay at therir home once we would arrive at the city. Right now in Dushambe he's not there but all his friends help us. Well, at that moment helping only me, Enric has head toward Khalaikumb today, I'm resting in Dushambe for a couple more days recovering from a diarrea. We'll meet in Khalaikumb, however, this will be another history.
